From Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations (projected video message), to Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, from Prince Albert II of Monaco to Corinne Lepage, former Minister of Environment and President of Cap21, the personalities saluted Renaud Muselier’s initiative and reinforced the importance of the SUD Region in the impetus and animation of a decisive relaunch of the Mediterranean partnership.

In December 2017, the SUD Region confirmed its commitment to climate agreements by launching the Regional Climate Plan, which is based on 5 axes and 100 initiatives. The aim is to achieve carbon neutrality in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur by 2050.
